Question:

Decorating ideas for a plastic half-mask?

I got a white plastic half-mask (or masquerade mask) and I need decorating ideas. I was originally going to sharpie it up, but the sharpie is rubbing off fairly easily. Now I don't know what to use. Any ideas?

Or if you have any ways to make sharpie stick permanently, please say that as well!

I don't really want to use feathers...

  1. Could use decals like the one you buy at a crafts store like Michaels or Joann fabrics.

    OR

Print to printer onto photo paper (which would give the sharpist, brightest image, cut out the image and use glue stick which can be bought at office depot or staples.

    OR

There are permanent sharpies (not sure if that was what you tried) that wouldn't rub off.

    OR

Spray Mount (spray adhesive) to attach glitter, images, ribbon, fabric trim (buy at fabric store like Joann fabrics), lace, etc.

  2. Floam would look pretty original and you could shape it outwards to make horns or an unusual face shape/deformities.

Or you could find the colored Elymers glue or fabric paint and use that to created designs on it.
