  1. go to target they have alot of avordable things thats where i got stuff for schoool

  2. Let her frame some of her own art work and hang it.  Also a few pillows and rugs here and there really go a long way.  I let my 9 year old do some of her own decorating and she did a wonderful job.  She took old water jugs and filled them with colorful rocks and seashells that she got at the beach and made lamps out of it.  We also bought pretty fabric and used it to make curtains, bed skirt and pillow cases.  Then we ramsacked the storage shed and she found old knick knacks and some old craft supplies.  She did a wonderful job.

  3. Well I would pick a neutral color that will last a long time.

When I wanted to redo my room on a budget... I took of my closet doors and got a tension rod and made my own curtains. It really changes the look of the room and looks glamorous.

You could do the same for the regular curtains on the window.

Check out some antique/thrift stores for some used furniture that you could refurnish.

Oh, one more idea. To make some cheap tapestry's you can get build a wooden frame and pick out a patterned fabric and stretch it over the frame stapling it in place.

It's a bit of an investment but you could get a regular, plain comforter (or use one you already have) and get a duvet cover (ikea has great ones that are really cheap)... this way it can be changed out frequently as your daughter's tastes change!

    Hope this helps!

  4. Decorating a small room on a small budget can be fun. As for decorating, you need a room that can adapt for a growing 7-year-old to an adventurous teen. Don't go overboard with your theme. A room for a princess doesn't need 6 matching princess lamps and a princess bed. Try colors that a girls of every age can enjoy, like a warm orange room with hanging lanterns or a stylish blue and green room with cool accents. Oh yeah, here is a tip for making a small room look larger. Try using mirrors or glass table tops. Don't forget to have fun and be creative

  5. try a cool wallpaper on her wall

i saw on the tyra show this morning that you can can ones from flowers to wall sized pictures of different places like france an what not
