should i decorate them or leave them plain?

my colors are hot pink and black hence the color of the boxes and my cupcake tree is made of hot pink frosted cupcakes

  1. That idea is SO cute!  I love it.  I think if you decorate them, you should do something simple to keep it classy!

  2. The cup cake tree sounds beautiful and the take out boxes a wonderful idea. What about writing your name and birthday on the boxes with a glitter pen?

  3. Wonderful idea! ....  You can buy glitter pens too, so you could do the J with that

  4. Hi Jenny,

I just read your profile and I consider myself a Bostonian, well sort of.  I do live a little north of Boston but still go to town quite a bit.  I love the city!  So, maybe I can come to your party, huh?  Just kidding. :)  :)  Whoops, no chatting, back to business.

How about printing out a "Jennybeanytini" recipe and adhering it to the bottom of the container to remember your honored drink?  Then, take some quotes, cut them into strips, like they have in fortune cookies, laminate them and  punch a hole on the end.  Then tie them with a pink or red satin ribbon to the metal handle of the container?

You have several options here.  You could laminate the recipe and attach it or have them in  a container or a Martini glass.  Or, fill with strips of quotes or just scatter them around the containers.  People love opening a fortune cookies.  Play around to see how the containers pile up.  Maybe, you  can have a side table just for them if they need to be spread out.

I don't think you would really need to add anything to the colorful containers.  Just leave them as is.

If you wanted to, carve out a piece of Styrofoam in the letter  "J", spray paint it black and glitter it with pink. This all depends on what the table cover is.  If it is black, then just glitter the white Styrofoam.   Place it on the left side of the tree and then carve out a "B" for the right side (JennyBean).  Make them taller than the cupcake tree.  You can hot glue them to a black painted piece of plywood,  say 4" x 4" or 6" x 6" to have them steady.

Picture a console table with two lamps and your tree as the center piece. You want to have it symetrical and create a wavelike appearance.  If there is an outlet near the table, add a string of white lights weaving around or pink.  OK, that's my two cents.  You get the picture.  I know that you are creative.

You are going to have a wonderful party.  And, Happy

Birthday!  I raise my glass to you...Oh, maybe a martini glass filled with jellybeans or the "redhot" candies nearby instead of mints.
