Decorating new room..help plz?

okay im 16 and im going to move out so i want to make my new room REALLY unique n different.ive been trying to think of nice colors but i cant figure out a good funky but settle and simple match.for my room i lyk the colors,baby blue,white,hot pink,dark red,and black.i dont know what 2 colors i should paint the walls with.i want 2 walls a color and the other two walls another color.i love polka dot things,i LOVE quotes and i definatley want quotes in my room but i dont want to just decorate paper and stick them up i want something else,another idea(quotes from songs).um i also love how u can stick up old cd's on a wall i was thinking of sticking them on a small wall by the door,or on the door itself.if u guys have any other idea PLZ give me them even if u have different colors in mind tell me about it.if you have any websites WITH pictures,or something that shows me colors that go good 2gether.thx

Do the walls in a light color like a baby blue, a tan or egg shell and if you like dark red you can do ONE accent wall so that you don't block light out.

Dark Curtain are city chic. Try curtains in a dark red or plum.

Instead of just hanging posters go online and print black and white headshots of some of your favorite artist on high gloss paper and get black thick rimmed picture frames and do and entire picture frame wall.

Just some ideas.

I would pick any of the colors you like and match it with white. Thats always the safe way to go. White will open up your room and keep the powerful color you chose from overpowering.

1) You can paint alternating walls.You should get letter stencils and use black to trace quotes onto the walls.

2)You could also paint the walls white and decorate them with funky colored quotes. Then paint the ceiling a "popping" color and get a carpet to match.

Well my niece just did her room.  She chose a comforter from target that was white and black with hot pink accent pillows that had a chandelier made of crystals. So we took that crystal chandelier and it helped us choose the rest of the accessories that included candle holders with crystal droplets, etc.  So for her wall...she did a lighter version of the hot pink on the 2/3 top of the walls...and on the bottom, she striped hot pink, with a darker pink(or even a grape color and a cream) But to divide the stripes, she did a very thin line of black paint in between each stripe. She added a real pretty crystal chandelier in the middle of the room... added a very pretty bed crown that had white sheers... she put on the walls pics of paris that were mainly black and white. But you can switch the paris pics with black and white quotes and hang them over the hot pink walls....very pretty and they will pop but your room will still look chic. You can print out your quotes on a nice paper with really pretty font and just get black frames or really funky velvet frames that have hot pink and black and white...It will be stunning. Also, Make sure you add accessories that don't blend in with your walls. She chose really pretty black and white lamp...a nice furry white throw, etc. I hope this helps.
