I would stick with pastel colours, just like the colours of the icing that you will use to decorate the cupcakes , you could add a border with baked goods all along the wall  or have one wall wallpapered with a mural or have an artist come in and paint one also have a couple of cafe tables and chairs to give it the European feel of a French Cafe.
