I am creating a jewelry box for my friend. I bought a plain craft jewelry box and have pictures and scrapbook sayings to decorate the box with. I was wondering what adhesive I should use on the box to cover the pictures and sayings. Any help in creating this craft would be very helpful!! Thanks in advance!

  1. hey,

Its good to use decoupage, if you use like a glittery one for a girl, its really pretty. I made door signs with peices of wood and cut outs from magazines, seal it with decoupage (like painting it) and let it dry, its really girly. You can also do it with puzzles. There is a product called Sparle Mod Podge by Plaid. Its really helpful in projects like that. Good luck!

  2. If your using decoupage to add pictures to the box,  all you need to do is brush on one coat of decopauge and lay the pictures where you want them while it is wet.  Let dry.  then add your second coat of decoupage, dry and then a third coat and fourth.  You don't need additional adhesive to glue the pictures on.

  3. I use half Elmer's glue     &half water. let dry , seal with clear varnish.

  4. this sounds like what you need..
