Question:

Dedication gift for a 4 year old girl . . .?

Friends of our adopted a little girl and now that all the legal work is official they are going to hold a dedication for her at their church this weekend. She is going to be 5 in June. She has lived with them for over a year now so she already has the traditional gifts you might give to a baby or younger child for their baptism/dedication. What are some suggestions for a nice gift?

  1. I would try to find her a cute little purse that she could carry to church.  I think that is appropriate for her age.

  2. Well, you will never go wrong with art pieces, for instance handmade portraits on Oil, Acryl or Canvas. They really look classical! You simply select a nice photo - one of her most memorable ones or one taken in some beautiful landscape - and send it to the professional artists at http://www.paintyourlife.com to be turned into a unique portrait. It is a reliable address for all sorts of gift ideas for every occasion!

If you are looking for an affordable gift urgently, the same company also has a studio for oil paintings reproductions. So, visit them at http://www.oil-paintings-reproductions.c... and take a look at their 'stock on sale'.

  3. I think a nice scrap book type photo album would be nice to help document the special occassion.  Obviously, there will be a lot of photo taking, a nice Christian themed (I'm assuming) album would be a great place to keep those memories.

  4. I'm not sure what the traditional gifts are that you are referring to, but if they are jewelry, then you could give her a little musical jewelry box.  If she gets an allowance, you could give her a nice piggy bank, and put some coins in it to get her started.
