Question:

Deep Secret Red Rose? is it a climber? or just regular bush?

i have a scarlet climber in my back garden and i forget what its called i remember one of the bushes i got was called deep secret but i dont remember if that was the climber or the stand alone bush? if its not the climber can you think of what it could be?

i know i bought a deep secret, a ruby wedding and i must have bought another but cant imagine what it is, thanks

  1. I went to your suggested web-page and came accross a very similar rose called, "Alec's Red" and thought that maybe that is what you have got. It's just a guess. I think "bare root = non-containerised" upon delivery the roots are clean and bare and arrive in a wrapping rather than a container. Hope you find what you are looking for.


  2. the link indicates it is a hybrid tea...it's a bush... so is Ruby Wedding.... your climber must be another name....

    bare root is the way the plant is sold.... it's dug in the field, all the soil is removed from the roots ,it may be held for some time in cold area..... it's packaged and mailed to you... you then soak it in tepid water for up to 24 hours to 'wake it up' and then plant it.....
