  1. HUNTING IS WRONG!!!!!!!

  2. Call the game wardens office.

Tell the you have deer causing depredation in your yard and ask if you take them with a bow.

Call from your work phone and don't give them your name.

(the reason for this is if somebody is poaching with a bow in town they will not have your name to suspect you)

If they say yes ask for the persons name and position. That way when the neighbor calls the cops and they show up you can tell the officer that you spoke with warden joe and he told you it was ok. This will help with any charges LE may bring against you.

Keep in mind that if the GW says yes it still may be illegal to fire a bow inside city limits.

Call the local PD and ask if you can target shoot with a bow in your backyard.

  3. From a department of natural resources point of view, there is no problem with this as long as you have a valid license and such.  There maybe laws about shooting near inhabited structures though (This is something you must check into).

Where the issue may or may not arrise is the municipal code.  In many urban and suburban areas, it is illegal to discharge a firearm or bow within city limits and in other places it is not.

I have a relative that hunts with a shotgun in his backyard in a subdivision (each house has several acres of land), so it really depends on the laws and rules of your town.

So I would check into rules on discharging a weapon in the city/town limits and check into any rules on discharging weapons near inhabited dwellings.

    It can go either way

  4. Sure just dont get caught.

  5. Depends on the state.

    ====================

    Note to DON'T KILL DEER,

You hunt, but condemn others for doing so, you are a hypocrite who hunts by proxy, since if you eat, you hunt.  Now why don't you find a cause which doesn't demonstrate what a hypocrite and fool you really are.

  6. YOU sure can with a Bow & Arrow, but not a Gun.** If they are in season, and you have a Hunting license.*

  7. make sure you drop 'em where you shoot 'em... hard to explain to the neighbors on why the bloody dead deer is in their lawn, and there is an arrow in it, which matches the one you have...

or, explain what you are doing and split the deer with them

  8. Not unless the city has a problem deer herd and has given the green light for archers to help control the deer population. Better check with the city first.- If it doesn't, you know the neighbors will go berserk when they see you hunting when they look out the windows.

  9. More than likely not if it's inside the city limits.

  10. Depends on your state, license and season. Oh, do you have permission to be there in the first place.

Plus it would probably suck real bad to have to track a wounded deer in a neighborhood. I bet it would suck to wake up one morning and find a mortally wounded but still alive deer with an arrow sticking out in my front yard.

  11. IF it's open season for deer.

IF it's legal in your state, city, and neighborhood.

IF you have a hunting license.

IF all of these apply, go for it, and enjoy the meat. If not, prepare to spend a little time as a guest of the state and contributing to the tax base. (Last I heard, the fine for hunting deer out of season or without a license in Texas was about $250)

  12. yer why not! just make sure u drag it away very quickly!!
