I was browsing lastnight and clicked on a link for free screen savers and wall paper, but after clicking on it these pop up came up at the bottom right hand corner of my screen.

One says" MyWebSearch has prevented another program from changing my default search settings. When I click on this one another window opens and it says MyWebSearch "a third party has tried to change yor default search away from MyWebSearch. The other one says "Yahoo has blocked an attempt by another program to change your default search settings. Even though I want my settings to stay with yahoo these windows keep popping up. Any suggestions??

  1. youve been spammed or its a virus go to your control panel u can do this by clicking start it will be there then clik on add/remove and find what you downloaded for free screensaveres and clik on it and clik remove and dont go on these sites again they are all spam or virus or trojans get get mcafee siteadvisor and a good security try avg free edition

    www.avgfreeedition.com

and be more careful in future some things that are free are free for a reason

  2. try going to start, control panel add/remove. then scroll down the list until you see those annoyng programs(including the screen saver), highlight it and remove it(do one at a time).

then in ie go to tools, internet options, and check and make sure yahoo is still your home page(right where it says address). if its been changed to something else, just type in http://www.yahoo.com.   then reboot your computer.

also download a pop up blocker. panicware is pretty good.   hope this helps, good luck
