The defeated Indian side earned some more out loud criticism from the country’s former cricketers, after the visiting side went on to suffer a humiliating 3-0 defeat on Saturday, August 13, 2011, during the proceeding Test series against the English hosts.

“You can lose Test matches but losing three in a row and not scoring any big total, it is something to be worried about. Is it a one-off affair or the beginning of the demise of the side we have to see,” said Ganguly.

“There are one or two (players) in this team who have given impression that they just don't care, that they are above everything else, it seems as if that Indian teams owe them something now that they have won the World Cup” said the much infuriated Gavaskar.

The former skipper agreed to the fact that, with current conditions, it may not be a quick affair for India to climb back to the top; however, with some fresh talent on board, coupled with a fair overhaul, the players will serve a focal role in the team’s
