Defeated India receives more criticism from former cricketers – Cricket News Update
The defeated Indian side earned some more out loud criticism from the country’s former cricketers, after the visiting side went on to suffer a humiliating 3-0 defeat on Saturday, August 13, 2011, during the proceeding Test series against the English hosts.
Indian all-rounder and former skipper, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sourav-Chandidas-Ganguly-c90746, slammed the Indian team for losing three successive fixtures and those too in a far unacceptable manner.
“You can lose Test matches but losing three in a row and not scoring any big total, it is something to be worried about. Is it a one-off affair or the beginning of the demise of the side we have to see,” said Ganguly.
On the other hand, Indian cricketing expert and former player, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sunil-Manohar-Gavaskar-c91863, blamed the Indian visitors for not showing much interest on the field, stating that some of the players performed as if they did not even care.
Gavaskar also criticised the side after commenting on its display of some disappointing fielding, which resulted in some important dropped catches during the third day of the recent Test bout.
“There are one or two (players) in this team who have given impression that they just don't care, that they are above everything else, it seems as if that Indian teams owe them something now that they have won the World Cup” said the much infuriated Gavaskar.

The former skipper agreed to the fact that, with current conditions, it may not be a quick affair for India to climb back to the top; however, with some fresh talent on board, coupled with a fair overhaul, the players will serve a focal role in the team’s
revival.
Some criticism also poured in from the international community as well after http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Michael-Anthony-Holding-c75756 commented on the team’s performance stating that Test cricket did not seem to be a priority for India.
During the 3rd Test match at the Edgbaston arena, Holdings stated that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 were ‘waiting to lose’ the game, offering a for sure win for the English hosts.
