Defective Complete contact solution?

Does anybody know why Complete contact solution was taken off market? Should I not use it?

as far as I know, and I work for a eye doctor, we still use complete.

lol Alycia, I guess all the Opt Techs sat through that lunch meeting with the rep.

Basically, Complete didnt cause any of the infections. There was a bacteria (found in pool water mainly) that caused the infection, and it turned out that most of the people who had the infection were using Complete, but they weren't following the rubbing and cleaning instructions like they should. So Complete came back with a new packaging that highlights the rubbing instructions. They didnt have to change the formula or anything.

If my memory serves me right, Complete was recalled about a year ago due to an outbreak of infection associated with patients using the solution. However, there was never any conclusive result as to what exactly the problem was. Regardless, the solution was pulled, re-formulated, and is now safe to use. We give out samples at my office, and I use it as well.
