Defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 after being linked to Real Madrid
The 30-year-old Chelsea and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 captain has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer, however the centre-back denied rumours of a move.
Terry is well into his 13th season with the Blues, having made his senior debut for the London club in 1998 and insisted he wished to finish his career with Chelsea.
The Englishman revealed he was extremely happy at the club and wished to extend his contract, which was set to expire at the end of the 2014 season.
The Chelsea defender has made it past the 500 appearance mark for the London side and currently stands at fifth place in the club’s all time appearance list.
Terry said while speaking to reporters, “I'm hoping to get an extension on my contract of at least another year - I really am. I will try to stay here as long as I can. I love this football club and I never want to leave.”
Terry has previously expressed his desire to go into the management side when he does finally decide to retire as a player.
He thanked the fans for their support throughout the years and claimed he was lucky to captain such an amazing club.
The Blues skipper continued, “I'm like the fans in that I take it home with me - and whenever we lose I take it out on the people closest to me. I'm very fortunate to be captain of such a fantastic club.”
Since making his debut in the 1998-1999 season, Terry has gone on to make over 500 appearances for the club in all competitions and has scored 42 goals.
While at Stamford Bridge the English defender has won the FA Cup competition four times, the English Premier League thrice and the Carling Cup and Community Shield twice.
