Okay listen to what I have to say you DO NOT want to hurt them you only want to defend yourself I take Sho-Rin-Jin-Rhu Karate and I learned that if you hit a person for no reason your likely to face assault charges you need to remember that the best offence is a good defence don't hit them in the groin and then run try taking a self defence class to help you learn to block I have a learned that when you block not only are you protecting your self but you are hurting them in a way as well all these other comments like run or kick them are not going to help my advice is to try taking a class to prepare your self Karate is my self defense and it has helped me many times. I hope this helps

    try not to dwell too much or you'll worry yourself into the ground.

    might not be the most masculane but sounds like you've got reach and longer legs, your arms may not have the power if he's too overweight (you dont want someone like that getting inside) so a good kick to the gonads will stop anyone; or if you want to be more technical and longer lasting aim at kicking the knee backwards when stepping in.

    Good luck, don't stress; theres more to life after school.

  7. Well, the best "defense" is running away as fast as you can, to an aera where there are lots of people. Where theres more people, there is less violence. It sounds like the "heavy, shorter, overweight" is a single person, and "overweight" people generally run slower than their "taller" opponents.

    If your like me, and you like teaching them a lesson before you run, or giving yourself more time to run, then try to trip them (trust you know how to do this one), low kick (kick a joint using the front balls of your foot onto the kneecap area), punch (nose and stomach areas are really good areas for this), kick (groin area if male).

    Personally, I think the kick works the best.
