Define Earth science? ?

and just don't say, "the study of things related to earth". That's obvious and gets me no where. "Earth Sciece is the knowledge of how the earth works". Is this a correct description, at least partially? I don't understand!

its what the earth is made of. the measurements of it. its flow in the universe. why it does what it does.

Earth science teaches you about planets and atoms and all that kind of stuff.  Not necessarily Earth.

Earth Science is basically Environmental science. Helping the earth etc.
