  1. Projection is when one person tries to project their guilt onto another, for instance, your mate may  accuse you of having an affair or be paranoid of it or if you did bring it up all the time, BECAUSE, he had or is having one himself, can't deal with it,or  be honest about it and so it becomes a lot easier to blame you or someone else for it, sometimes a person really cannot accept or deal with their own guilt,or actions,  easier to blame someone else than accept responsibility for it themselves.

  2. Anxiety....

    Lots of people.

  3. Projection is a defense mechanism which is used to protect the ego, however, it is not the healthiest of defenses.  The defense is manifested by a person claiming another person feels or thinks or behaves in a certain manner which is really a projection of one's own feelings, thoughts or behaviors.  For example, "You don't seem to care at all about what I want to do."  In reality, the person really doesn't care about the other person's activity interests.

I think you might see this defense mechanism being used the most in a delusional personaility disorder or maybe even a narcissistic personality disorder.

Edit:  studying Psychology now, are you?
