  1. OSMOSIS

It is the transport of  SOLVENT from lower concentrated solution  to the one with higher concentration.

It takes place across a semi permeable membrane

    DIFFUSION

It is the transport of SOLUTE from higher concentration to lower concentration.

  2. Diffusion is literally a "process of scattering" (diffus). The scattering process of diffusion arises from the fact that all particles are constantly moving in random directions. During diffusion, particles move by chance from a region where their concentration is high, to a region where their concentration is low.

Osmosis is a "condition of thrusting" (osm). Specifically, osmosis is the diffusion of water molecules only, from a region where the water concentration is low.

  3. osmosis is the net movement of water molecules across a semipermeable membrane from a region of a higher concentration to a region of lower concentration...

diffusion is the net of any substance from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration.

  4. Osmosis- diffusion of water through a selectively permeable membrane

Diffusion- process by which molecules tend to move from an area where they are more concentrated to an area where they are less concentrated.

  5. Osmosis is the dispersion of solutes through a selectively permeable membrane (name changed from semi permeable)  from an area of high concentration to low.

Diffusion occurs in gases, consider someone a few meters away, if they f**t you smell it due to diffusion....

    tada

  6. Diffusion is the movement of a substance from an area of high concentration, to one of a lower concentration, thereby equaling the concentrations of the two areas.

Osmosis is the same, but with water.

  7. osmosis is a soluble (liquid) travelling through semi permeabe membrane which is a wall that only allow certain cells and molecules through. diffussion is gas spread out in the air.
