Witch just means one of knowledge. I can be either a man or woman. Warlock means betrayer.

A witch is a woman, who professes or is supposed to practice magic, esp. black magic or the black art.

A warlock is  a man who practices the black arts a male witch sorcerer.

The term witch is often used for those that like to conjure up trouble.
