Definite Memories destined to thrive at Bangor-on-dee – Novices’ Hurdle Preview
Venetia Williams’ brilliant black mare, Definite Memories, will land into Bangor-on-dee racecourse by keeping in mind the sweet memories of his last victory and struggle her utmost to finish first in Clwyd Special Riding Centre Mares’ “National Hunt” Novices’
Hurdle.
The Class 4 race of 2m1f distance has £2,534 of prize money.
Definite Memories will compete against a dozen of runners including Native Beauty, Fenney Mill, Fiorenza, Flame Of Dixie, Golden Firebird, Like Ben, Lulu’s Gift, Midnight Return, Putiacca Bella, Queen Of Mantua, Tackswop and Rileys Legend.
Along with Definite Memories, Native Beauty and Like Ben are also likely to do well today and finish second and third respectively.
Following are the career snapshots of the trio:
Definite Memories
The five-year-old mare started her career with a marvellous triumph on November 27, 2011. Her 4-length clean success in the very maiden outing impressed all, establishing herself as a strong runner.
The David A Hunt-owned mare finished 4th while running against 13 rivals in her second and last outing at Taunton on February 21.
Thus, Definite Memories seems to be in good form at the moment. She will unleash immense fighting spirit today and notch up top spot. Her chances to win are as high as 90 percent.
Native Beauty
The champion trainer Nicky Henderson’s black mare made her debut on May 20, 2011 and finished 3rd in her maiden race. She went on to win her very next contest on January 22, 2012.
The six-year-old runner grabbed 8th position in her third and last outing on February 15.
These three starts have exposed the mare’s skills well. She is now expected to show a decent run today and finish at least second.
Like Ben
Since starting her career in March 2011, the Evan Williams-trained black mare has run for four times so far and bagged an excellent victory. After getting pulled out in her very maiden race, she went on to finish 8th in her very next outing.
The mare finished first in her third start on April 30, 2011. In her fourth and last outing on February 21, 2012, she again got 8th spot.
She is likely to wrest at least 3rd top spot in today’s race.
Conclusion
Each of the favourite trio is carrying enough forma and spirit. Thus, National Hunt will be a heated competition. Let us see who gains what. Good luck to all the runners.
