I hear the word beautiful thrown out all willy nilly like and I thought I ask everyone what they think the definition of beauty is.

Me personally it when a person not only looks great on the outside but has a wonderful personality also.So if I see a girl on myspace and am trying to get her attention I wouldnt call her beautiful right off the bat cause I dont know her like that...But thats just me.

What is your personal definition?

  1. anything u like

  2. That the beauty is the defined by how you are on the inside because just cause a person is beautiful on the outside doesn't mean the person is beautiful on the inside..beauty to me is based on personality and the richness of a person's heart. But yet so many people based beauty on the outside appearance but yet never take the time to learn a person's true beauty...but hey what can you say, what can you do...

  3. True beauty can't be defined adequately--it has qualities that defy description. It's "ineffable."

But I will take a stab at an approximation.

For a person, it is symmetry of features made radiant by the inner personality. For one's body, it is a look of health, strength, and normalcy (not deformed), AND conformity to current fashion. A century or two ago, or was it ancient Greece and Rome(?), plump women were thought to be beautiful.

Over all, beauty is a harmonious combination of shapes and colors (or, also sounds) that pleases our eyes and makes us want it, draws us to it, and at best emanates a spiritual wholesomeness and health.

  4. I think it comes from the inside more so than the outside, though physical features are also included. I think beauty is natural...nothing like plastic surgery...nothing fake. It's a uniqueness.

  5. Well my definition of beautiful is something that i am attracted to. For example if i see something like... a computer and it was a really nice computer that looked cool i would say "it's beautiful".

  6. big boobies, big booty, and brains

  7. Beautiful is definately a word I save for when I really mean it. When she really does it for me in terms of personality and demeanor.

  8. I consider beauty to exist on 2 levels.  Beauty on the outside (physical), and beauty on the inside (personality and soul).

Both are important to me, of course, but the physical part is more apparent, and comes into play at the outset.

If you are not physically attracted to a person (in a romantic sense) you will probably not get close enough to learn the other inner beauty.

If we're not talking in a romantic sense, but just a friend or companion setting, the physical takes the back seat.

You may find the person not particularly physically attractive, but you may also find them fascinating and interesting (attractive) in the other sense.

In your case, I think it is the romantic type of attractiveness you're concerned with.

If she is reasonably attractive to you, and not a total turn off, then give yourself a chance to get to know her, and find her inside beauty.

Otherwise you will condemn yourself to a shallow and superficial search for that "right" lady

  9. well my personal definition of beauty is a wonrderful filling about yourself  or someone eles it's filling beautiful inside and out loving yourself and caring about your appearance for yourself and no one eles if you feel beautiful inside and have a great personality to me your beautiful it's not about booty&b***s or how big his chest is or how s**y his lips is it's about loving yourself and the person that you are telling there beautiful!!!!!

  10. beauty has no certain definition, what may be beautiful to some may not to others.

The thing to think about is what kind of beauty you feel is true beauty.

I find that beauty is natural & free, untamed & always growing.

  11. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It can't be defined. It is purely subjective.

  12. Something that is aesthetically pleasing to the beholder.
