Tottenham’s striker Defoe has admitted that he will talk to Tottenham about his future with Harry Redknapp’s side after getting done with the European Championships. After being selected in Roy Hodgson’s squad, Defoe’s focus has
been on the England national team as he had not been expected to feature at the European Championships due to a limited number of first team appearances with Spurs in the Premier League season.
With the arrival of Adebayor and Saha at Tottenham, the Englishman was only limited to 25 league appearances and he netted eleven goals during those appearances. Defoe was one of the few English players who managed to find the
back of the net during the 2010 FIFA World Cup when the Three Lions were under http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749’s limited offensive options
due to Rooney’s suspension for the first two matches of the 2012 European Championships.
Defoe stated, "It is a difficult one. I have never said I want to leave the club, all I have just said is I want to play. As a forward you just want to get some sort of rhythm and a run in the team. That wasn't the case towards
the end of the season. I am going to concentrate on England and go to the Euros, then see what happens. The most important thing for me is scoring goals and that is when I am at my happiest."
It will be interesting to see whether Defoe starts for England in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 or not considering that he is an experienced campaigner but not necessary a proven goal scorer in international football. On the other hand, Tottenham’s
two other strikers namely Adebayor and Saha have already hinted that they want to extend their stay at the club thus Defoe might be set for an exist after the conclusion of the European Championships latter on in the summer.
