Degree suggestions from you radio folks . . . ?

W/ radio constantly downsizing Ive been looking into going back to school to keep my butt employed :) Im looking in the fields of communications and computer sciences, any suggestions of associate programs and certifications that would be useful?

  1. An AA is better than nothing, but with your "lifetime real-world" exprience, you might be able to get credit (or take a qualifcation test) and jump right into your Jr. year of a 4-year program. The big bux these days, though, are going to those with a Masters. It seems like it doesn't really matter what the discipline is - as long as it matches with current needs.

    That means computers in one way or another.

    Or pick something you enjoy, then blend the two into a syndicated talk show. "The Blues by Blue,"if you're into that particular genre of music.

    Actually the smartest thing you could do is what I did eventually when I realized programming wasn't the best road to where I wanted to go. Get the degree, but get into sales.

    Ahh, it's not that bad.

    With a business or marketing masters (or even a BA/BS) you could work great hours in an industry in which you've already got experience and make good money on the way to management.

    You get the pic. Whatever the education plan: get into sales. Word.
