Degree to be come a PA STATE TROOPER

Question

i want to be a pa state trooper and i start college next year. so like EVERYONE tha wanst to go into law enforcement i was going to get a Criminal Justice degree but than i change my mind to get a nursing degree(RN). i still want to be a state trooper but i feel like if i go for my CJ degree it will limit my option but if i go for my RN i can become a state trooper and if things go bad LIKE I GET FIRE OR NO JOBS ARE ABAILABLE. I HAVE MY NURSING DEGREE TO FALL BACK ON. SO MY QUESTION is will it be better for me to go for my CJ OR RN

You do not need a CJ degree for PSP.  Feel free to get you nursing degree, there are troopers who have degrees in accounting, political science, psychology, ect.  I chose to major in CJ just because it was all that interested me.  Contact one of our recruiters and talk to them about it if you still have questions.
