Degrees/Venus Conjunct&Trine Pluto/ Synastry Q:?

Question

For a Venus Conjunct&Trine Pluto aspect to indicate a stronger Karmic Tie (since it's said to be one), it has to be one or two degrees apart at the most...

Where am I supposed to look for the degrees that will show me whether they are at least two degrees apart or not, on the ORB section or the VALUE? or....

If the degrees on that aspect are too far apart, could there still be a Karmic Tie? Or is it considered a nothing since the degrees are too far apart.

The VALUE section gives you the intensity of the aspect.  The ORB section tells you that the planets are within the range of degrees to be considered "in aspect".   Venus conjunct Pluto would be the stronger because it appears to be the natal planets.  Pluto trine Venus appears to be the transiting planets and soon Venus will separate from the trine aspect with Pluto.  

Looking at the Pluto trine transiting Venus in the 12th house conjunct the natal Moon appears to be a passionate, secretive, satisfying, but short-lived affair......
