The former AC Milan winger foresees La Viola striker moving to La Liga or English Premier League in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old star has been in mesmerising form in the ongoing season, and according to Dejan Savicevic, this has not gone unnoticed to the top European clubs.
Jovetic suffered a horrendous knee injury last season; however, he made sure that it did not affect his progress. The Montenegrin prodigy has compensated for the time lost with his free flowing goal-scoring form this season.
The Yugoslav veteran praised the Fiorentina star, and was pleasantly surprised with his finesse in front of the goal. The former Rossoneri midfielder was of the opinion that the sparkling form of Jovetic could spell his exit from
the Viola. He further added:
“Jovetic is playing consistently and I knew he could do well, although I wasn’t convinced he could be so prolific in front of goal. As for his future, I think he is a player who sooner or later will have to leave.”
According to the President of the Montenegrin FA, it is heartening to see that Jovetic wants to extend his stay at Stadio Artemio Franchi. However, being pragmatic, he also mentioned that should a big money offer come from a top
club, it would be a different scenario.
The former Partizan star has attracted interest from host of top European clubs including Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint Germain. Savicevic believes that a bid in the region of 20-25 million pounds will be
hard to decline for cash-strapped Fiorentina side.
Reflecting on the style of the young star, Savicevic was of the opinion that he had many strong points. And during his interview, he stated
“I think he’d be suited to the Premier League or La Liga as well as Serie A. Jovetic can challenge for the Champions League, national titles and the Ballon d’Or.”
Jovetic continued his great run of form by scoring twice from the penalty spot in La Viola’s 3-2 victory over Udinese recently. The 22-year-old has scored 12 goals in 16 league appearances so far this season.
