added further.
The 33-year-old top order batsman could manage just 406 runs from nine matches during the recently concluded Ranji Trophy championship as the two times former champions failed to go beyond the semi-finals.

Jaffer, who has played 31 Tests for India during his 8-year-long international career, said that he was extremely disappointed by his coach’s remarks adding that he should have been told about his mistakes in the dressing room and not publically on the media.
"Everybody makes mistakes; if there was any problem I should have been told inside the dressing-room, not in public,” said the right-handed batsman from Maharashtra, who averages 50.54 with the bat in first class cricket from 203 appearances.
A dejected Jaffer further said that just four months ago he was being regarded as the best captain and after an unsuccessful Ranji season, the management has started criticising him as a poor captain.
