However, there are a number complications surrounding Spain’s Euro campaign this summer as they are likely to be missing two key players from the squad.
David Villa and Carles Puyol are the two players that are probably going to miss the coveted competition. The two men who represent Catalan giants, Barcelona, have suffered the set-back as a result of fitness issues.
Villa broke his tibia in December while being on duty with Barca in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928 during the Club World Cup.
Although his side were crowned as new champions of the world, the player fractured his tibia and has remained side-lined ever since.

On the other hand, it was recently announced by La Blaugrana that their captain, Puyol, will going undergoing a knee surgery. The operation will keep the veteran defender out of action for six weeks.
Del Bosque voiced his concern over the matter on a number of occasions and has stressed that he will take a good look into the possibilities before naming the final squad.
While talking to reporters, the 61-year-old quoted:
"We have until May 27 to hand in the final list for Euro 2012, so until that day we are not ruling out anyone, including Puyol and Villa. Puyol is a team leader and there is no hurry. He has a chance to be at the Euros. It's difficult, but we'll know on
the 27th if he travels or not.”
“Villa is so effective in front of goal and we just have to transmit optimism to him - but also realism. He had a serious injury and is working very hard. But we will decide all on the 27th. In 10 days we will leave all doubts behind."
Spain’s group in the Euro 2012 includes the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 and their first opponents in the tournament, Italy.
