Gianluca Vialli has given his opinion on the impending departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Del-Piero-c4726, and stated it might be in the interest of Juventus to let him leave.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 striker is of the opinion that the presence of the legendary Juventus striker is hampering the progress of the strikers at the club, as they are staying
in the shadow of the presence he has at the club. He further stated that it would work in favour of all the parties concerned for Del Piero to leave the Juventus Arena.

The striker has spent 20 seasons at the club and has had the luxury of winning all the major honours that the club has competed in. During the course of his illustrious
career, Del Piero has picked up 15 major honours for the club and is the longest serving player currently in the squad.
Antonio Conte has used the striker sparingly this season; however, he has made an impact coming off the bench on majority of the occasions. Had Del Piero not had such an
impact on the matches, it would have been easier for Juventus to offload the striker, however his high quality performances has given more leverage to the striker.

Bianconeri president, Andrea Agnelli, announced that Juventus would not be offering an extension to his current deal back in October. However, despite the resurgent form
of Del Piero, the Old Lady has remain undeterred in their decision to not offer him another contract.

The staunch attitude of Juventus is seemingly justified in the eyes of Vialli, who stated:
“It is legitimate for Juve to think of a future without Del Piero. Maybe his presence scares the other strikers, as they do not feel relaxed and able to give their
best. Perhaps having such an important man on the bench means they cannot take full responsibility.”
The former Watford manager was of the opinion that it might be in the best interests of Del Piero to leave as well, and he opined:
“Besides, as far as Del Piero is concerned, it is better to have your departure regretted than have people put up with you. It’s best not to one day hear someone say: ‘Oh,
when are you going to retire?'"
The veteran Turin striker has been linked with a move to MLS.
