Del Potro aiming to challenge the world top players
The current world number thirty six, the Argentinean tennis ace and 2009 US Grand Slam winner Juan Martin del Potro is aiming high to clutch the best playing form and improving his international ranking as soon as possible.
Del Potro has been out of the tennis scene because of his wrist injury but his return to the tennis circuit has given his fans a new hope. The wrist injury has dragged him out of the tennis scene for a very long time, and he is still facing problems in clutching
a better physical and mental fitness to outplay stronger rivals.
In a very recent interview the Argentinean tennis star expressed his thoughts and plans and told the media that his return to the tennis circuit again is very motivating for him, and he is looking forward to improve his game now. While expressing his thoughts
about his first Grand Slam title the current world number thirty six expressed himself and said that winning the US Open tournament against the legendary Roger Federer was like a dream for him but before the Australian Open in January, he started to feel pain
in his wrist. He continued and said that after that he tried his level best to play in the Australian Open and played three or four matches as well but the pain increased up to an extent that he had to stop playing.
He said his injury has given him a lot of mental stress and he was feeling very frustrated to make a return. The 22-year-old told that he is very well aware of the positive and negative aspects of his game, and he is very confident that he can give a strong
challenge to the world top players like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
His recent defeat in the Thailand Open tennis tournament by the Belgian Olivier Rochus was truly very disappointing for him. According to some critics it will take some time for him to regain his lost confidence and re-capturing the winning streak is not
going to be an easy task for him.
According to Del Potro’s coach Ugo Colombini, it will take Del Potro months to fully recover. The coach also said that Del Potro is currently going through some mental suffering as well because his early exit from the tournament has made him more frustrated
and eager, and it is never easy for an athlete to understand the right wining chemistry of the game very quickly.
Colombini told the media about the injury of Potro and said that according to doctors the 22-year-old will be hundred percent fit and now he will have to practice hard. He added that the Argentinean has not played for nine months and the absence from the
tennis court has ruined his confidence.
Colombini expressed his great confidence in Juan Del Potro and said that Potro is mentally very strong and his capability cannot be questioned.
The ability and capacity of this Argentinean ace cannot be questioned. In 2007 he was the youngest player in the top fifty and in the year 2008 he was the youngest player to clinch a place in the world top ten ranks. His previous performances and Grand Slam
title is a vivid proof of his staggering talent.
Juan del Potro is eyeing to clutch the top title of the men’s world of tennis. His recovery from the wrist injury has conveyed a strong message to his rivals that his return in the tennis scene can cause a great difference. The fans and followers of this
Argentinean are now willing to see him clinching the glory again. It is now up to him to practice hard and give the best he can. As a fan we can only wish him a good luck.
