Del Potro suffers a thrashing defeat after getting back to the tennis circuit
The twenty two year old Argentinean Tennis ace Juan Martin Del Potro is suffering from bad playing form. It seems that his recent injury has dragged him out of the winning streak as after recovering from his injury the Argentinean
suffered a thrashing defeat in the Thailand Open tennis tournament which is being held in Bangkok.
In the match the Belgian Olivier Rochus hammered the current world number thirty four by 7-6 6-4, pretty convincingly in a two setter match. The defeat from Rochus is no doubt very disappointing for Potro and now it seems he has
to work hard to regain his lost match winning form. The former world number four Del Potro has not been able to play since January, after losing his match in the fourth round of the Australian Open, as has been busy recovering from a wrist injury. The recent
performance of this Argentinean tennis veteran is a very clear proof of his current bad playing form and he has got all the rights of getting frustrated about his career's downfall.
The recent match against the world number seventy eight was pretty disappointing for the twenty two year old but during the match he was able to card 16 aces and showed a glimpse of his perfection to the world.
According to some critics the match was not a bad match for him as now he has been able to check his current playing status that will help him to work over his negative aspects of the game. Being away from the tennis court for
a long time has dragged him away from the right chemistry of the tennis game and it will take time for him to settle and regain winning mental fitness as well.
In the match the Belgian Olivier Rochus displayed some brilliant moves with splendid powerful shots. The first set of the match was a pretty close one as both the rivals tried to give each other a hard challenge. It was a lucky
day for Rochus as he was able to clutch break point and settled the match in just two hours. By winning the match the Belgian current world number seventy eight has been able to qualify for the second round of the South East Asian tournament, where he will
face Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan.
After the match Juan Martin Del Potro admired the game of his rival Rochus and praised him by all means and told the media that he is feeling happy to return back in the tennis court and this game was not less than a test for him.
Del Potro seemed very relaxed and satisfied about his performance and told the world that he is very happy with the way he has ended. He added that he is happy to be back in the game and now his main focus is to improve his mental and physical fitness. While
talking about the match Potro said that Rochus gave him a very good challenge as he played some brilliant shots and served tremendously well. He added that he had good chance in first set tie break but he just got a bit unlucky.
In the other first round matches of the tournament the German Rainer Schuttler thrashed Ricardo Mello of Brazil. On the other hand the Spaniard Guillermo Garcia Lopez brushed away the German Michael Berrer pretty convincingly.
Del Potro's return to the tennis circuit is no doubt very special to him as he has been able to recover from his wrist injury. Now it is up to him to keep his focus towards his game and physical fitness as the world of tennis is
missing the powerful game of this Argentinean former world number four.
