Delay in processing tax returns, reference 1201

Question

Has anyone got that message before ? What was the outcome? How long did it take for you to receive your refund?

I have been seeing that message for the past month now!

I was at 1201 on feb 19th.last friday i finally got my refund,they did not send me any notice i just had to wait it out,It only took 5 months.

this could mean that you have not filed all your tax returns for 2002 thru 2006.  IF you are not in full compliance RS will hold your refund until you filed all deliquent tax returns.  If you are in full compliance then there could be a problem with your name, SSN or your dependent information.

If you have not filed IRS will hold the refund until you file and the returns are all processed (6-12 weeks to process previous year tax returns)
