I was in a car crash this morning, no one was hurt, but the shock of it didn't hit me until a few hours later. I became shaken and tearful. Have you ever had a delayed reaction?

  1. yup it's your adrenaline kicking in good you don't wanted to be shaky and crying at the scene

  2. delayed reaction is quite common. it's the 'fight or flight' effect when you get a sudden rush of adrenaline. you obviously coped quite well to start and the shock comes out later.

I once cut my hand very badly, but as i was on my own, i dealt with the gushing blood, gave myself 1st aid, drove myself to hospital, parked etc, but as soon as i handed myself over to the nurse, and let go of the responsibility i became a gibbering wreck (until the anasthetic kicked in and i was ok again)

  3. Yes it is common. U finally realize how near U were to dieing.

  4. Yes I have many years ago and what you need to do right now is go and see your doctor for your protection and get checked out.
