Question:

Delete articles from Associated Content?

I wrote an article about 2 months ago about KinderCare, a daycare I used to work at. I mentioned many things about the place, some good but mostly bad, in hopes I could warn parents and prospective employees to not choose that particular center. However, I realized what I did was wrong, and now I want to delete this article, or at least edit some parts. Admin will not answer my emails...is there anything I can do? I don't want to get sued or anything!

  1. the only time you cant delete or edit an article is when youve submitted it as non exsclusive... when you do that that means AC owns half of it so they have half of the decsision on whether to delete it or not and they probably  decided not to delete it because of your problem... i found that out the 1st time i wrote something and then i wanted to go back and edit it and couldnt... from now on i just submit everything display only... which meaans yr the only one who hads rights to it... that way you can edit and delete it all you want

  2. I have a similar problem, I commented on someones article with a negative anecdote about an old friend (not named though) and accidentally posted my real name! They might recognise their own behaviour from what I have written and it is worrying me lots. I don't want to be sued by the old friend for defamation and I don't want to wreck their current life now based on something they did a long time ago and which I have long forgiven them for. I have emailed Associated Content about it and have emailed the article author in the hope that they can delete the comment. My other recourse is to delete my account and hopefully the comment will disappear. I will try that next!
    Thinking of you!
