yes you can delete a group, you just check the box that says delete this group

If you are the owner of the Group, you can delete the Group by clicking on Management on the left-hand side of the Group's web page.  Then click on Delete Group on the right-hand side of the resulting page.  Make sure you really want to delete it when you do this, because there's no changing your mind later.

It is easy.

Go to your group's main page.

From the left hand column choose "management"

A box appears.

On the right hand side of the box there is a section called "Delete Group" and a button for you to click on.

In order to do this, (if I am not mistaken) you have to be the owner of the group, not the moderator.

To delete a group go to: "Management" on your group's homepage and then scroll down to the bottom right section where it says, "Delete Group".  After you click on that it will ask if you are sure you want to delete the group.  Click "Yes" and then the group will be deleted.

If however, you decide at a later date that you want to have the group exist again you'll have to start all over by creating it.
