How do I delete a group? What happens to a group once it's deleted?

If you’re the group owner or a moderator with the necessary privileges to delete a group, you’ll see the link to delete a group in the lower-right corner of the Management page.

Important: Deleting a group is permanent! Proceed with caution.

If you click the Delete group button, you’ll remove the group from Yahoo! Groups, unsubscribe all members, and eliminate all archives, shared files, and calendars.

To delete your group go to: "Management" of your group's homepage and then after clicking on that go to the lower right hand corner of the screen look for a section that says, "Delete Group".  When you click on that it will then ask if you are sure you want to delete the group.  Then click "yes".

If you should decide at a later date to get the group back you will need to recreate the whole group.
