Delete program from control panel?

Question

Vista Anti-Virus 2008..will not leave me alone...I tried deleting it from add/remove programs but it is not in there..it is in my control panel tho...how do i get rid of it?

you have to use your anti virus program to get it rid of it, Vista Anti-Virus 2008 is not a program, it a virus

Shut down your PC by holding the power button, and turn it back on. It should prompt you you either log in normally or go into safe mode ect... go into "safe mode with networking" and try the add remove programs there. In safe mode some viruses remain inactive and therefore can't block your anti virus programs.

PS. If you don't get the menu on the first shut down, try again, sometimes it take 2 or 3 times to get that menu.

You have been infected with a nasty malware, your security soft has failed to do it's job.

Unplug the internet line, uninstall the junk and install these (if

That's all. Now admire how fast and safe (only if you never use IE again) your pc is.

ok so you are at control panel,  click the link that says add or remove programs, then wait for it to load. Then simply click on the program you want to delete and click the button that says delete

Well after you delete it try restarting your computer
