Deleted i-tunes help!?

Question

i have stupidly deleted my i-tunes and emptied the recycle bin(i thought i was just deleting a copy!) Now i have lost all my music and all my music documents files are empty. Is there any way to get something back from the recycle bin after emptying it or any other way to retrieve my i-tunes?

not unless you have a hewlett packard computer with the emergency recovery feature. i have deleted my itunes and my hp laptop came to the rescue and i was able to get everything back. do you have a backup disc anywhere?

If you have an iPod, I'm pretty sure there are third-party software tools that will allow you to transfer the music from the iPod back to your computer, and from there you should be able to add the music back into iTunes.

I don't know the specifics of how such software works or one to try, but if you go to a web site like MacRumors (http://www.macrumors.com/) or iLounge (http://www.ilounge.com / http://forums.ilounge.com/search.php) and search their forums for something along the lines of 'move music from iPod to Windows computer' you should find some helpful threads.

you could try a system restore, but it might not work. you might have to face the fact that you've lost your music.

I'm assuming you have no back up copies then!

You will need some rollback program like Norton etc ... failing that take it to a shop and see what they can do.

Remember, Back up, back up, back up.
