Question:

Deleting game without CD?

I installed The Sims Deluxe Edition and then i lost the CD so i can't play it.

Then i tried to play The Sims (no expansion or anything) but it won't let me, i think it assumes that i'm trying to play The Sims Deluxe, but i'm not.

I went to uninstall the Deluxe but it won't let me without the CD. I have tried uninstalling it through Add/Remove Programs but that hasn't worked.

Please help, is there another way in which i can delete the Deluxe Edition so i can play the original game or any other tips on how to get it to work.

Thanks.

  1. Go to start then my computer then your c:drive then to program files then to the sims file that should be there it may be under the company name that makes the program now find the deluxe addition files and delete them it should all be in one master folder probably named sims deluxe when thats all done restart you computer and then go to add/remove programs and try to remove it again and an error should pop up saying the program has already been removed and bingo your done click ok and it should no longer be on your programs list.

Good luck and hope this helps.

  2. Use Ccleaner it will most like remove any software which will not delete
