The President for Pescara, Daniele Sebastiani, has given the warning in light of recent events at Stadio Adriatico that the club might change venues
The club’s chief has put out a statement to the city council and the stadium authorities that the accusation against the club for illegally holding up space that the outfit did not pay for is being taken very seriously. The whole
situation has been blown out of proportions and that the team will not take such baseless charges sitting down.
“The accusations are simply ridiculous, seeing as we are talking about an old storage room with minimal value and it still contains shirts with our old sponsors,” replied President Sebastiani on the official club website.
According to Sebastiani the cost of the charges is not the issue. Pescara is a well respected club and petty situations like this might tarnish the club’s reputation. He has asked that a meeting be called to address this issue
so that the problem can be solved in a controlled manner.
“I have requested a meeting with the Mayor to clarify the situation. I am also ready to pay an adequate sum to cover the supposed costs up until now.” commented Sebastiani.
The CEO of the side believes that some groups are not very happy about the fact that the Delfini are in the Serie A. It is primarily a money problem and allegations against the club that it does not bring in enough revenue due
to its relatively low support.
“Someone doesn’t like Pescara being in Serie A, especially those who insinuate that the club doesn’t bring any economic boost to the city, but I can assure you that is not the case.” said Sebastiani.
This is a severe problem and the rise of such problems only constitutes in lowering the spirits of the team. After all nobody wants to attend a place where they are being shunned.
The Biancazzurri President has already made it clear that if incidents like this continue to occur then the club will be left with no choice but to relocate to a different venue. He has even held talks with a neighbouring city
who’s Mayor has agreed to lend Pescara their stadium for its matches.
