Delhi Daredevils’ coach Greg Shipperd is expecting an improved performance from his side in Saturday’s game against Kings XI http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833.

With three defeats in the ongoing tournament, Daredevils are lying at the bottom of the IPL standings. Kings XI Punjab, on the other hand, are among the top three teams in the competition and have managed to win three out of their four matches so far.
The Virender Sehwag-led Daredevils have managed just one victory out of their four matches and the coach Shipperd has said that the team needs to win at least 7 out of the remaining 10 games in order to qualify for the knockout round.
“We need to hold firm in our direction. The team needs to win seven out of the remaining 10 games to qualify for the knock-out stage, we'll be looking to give a very clinical performance,” said Shipperd.
Commenting on the nature of the Feroz Shah Kotla track on which the Daredevils faced an embarrassing 16-run defeat to Deccan Chargers, the coach stated that there is nothing wrong with the wicket and the players just need to play to their potential.
“We have had a look at the wicket and it has got some dead grass. I hope there is good bounce and carry. Then it will help both batsmen and the bowlers,” the Delhi coach added.
Shipperd further admitted that Sehwag’s batting form is very crucial for the team. He hoped that the Delhi captain would return to his blistering touch against the Adam Gilchrist-led Kings XI Punjab on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the coach explained that the Delhi bowlers have practiced yorkers and slow deliveries to tackle the hard-hitting batsmen of Punjab. However, it will be crucial how the bowlers perform in the pressure situation, he said.
