Delhi Daredevils look to save some grace
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 Daredevils’ hopes for qualifying for the semi-finals have gone with the wind because they only have won four games out of their 12 in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). They are currently at the ninth position out of the 10 teams of the Indian
Premier League.
Delhi lost against the debutant Kochi Tuskers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians, Deccan Chargers and Chennai Super Kings.
Sunday’s clash against the Kings XI Punjab and their match again the Pune Warriors next week, will provide Hopes and company with a chance to experiment and to save some grace.
Hopes said that they are trying to find a perfect combination for the next year. However, they still want to win the coming matches.
Hopes has taken over the Delhi Captaincy for the rest of the tournament in place of their regular Captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Virender-Sehwag-c95429, who went out due to his shoulder injury.
"There's nobody to blame, really. We've struggled to perform, but we'll try to do our best in the last two games. You can't win everything so you've got to get something out of a dead rubber,” said Hopes.
The Australian conscript looked ahead to the services of the young spinner, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Himachal-Pradesh-c791 Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala.
The endowed spinner did not get a chance to bowl on Thursday against the Chennai Super Kings, however, Hopes stated that the right-arm spinner will be given a chance to bowl on Sunday.
"We used the other slow bowlers recently and probably should've used Nagar. He is a good off-spinner in our side and he'll do a good job for us," added Hopes.
The Kings XI http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Gilchrist-c918, is encouraging his side to keep on trying and winning.
"We've pulled back after a string of losses. It is always a happy environment when you are winning. We have a few games in hand and might sneak into the semi-finals if things go our way," said Gilchrist.
