Putting in a steady all-round effort, Delhi managed to secure an easy 10-wicket win over Odisha during their Group B match in the ongoing http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kumar-Shri-Ranjitsinhji-c71870 Trophy, played at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi from November 9 to 12.
Odisha started out by winning the toss and electing to bat first. Delhi’s http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Manan-Sharma-c74098 (8.1-3-30-4), Pawan Suyal (14-2-43-3), and Sumit Narwal (11-2-35-2) all joined forces to launch a fierce assault, and Odisha’s top order, with the exception of skipper
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rakesh-Mohanty-c2268 (14) were the only other batsmen who managed to register double-digit scores. The rest collapsed and
on day one, Odisha found themselves all out at 143.
Delhi, meanwhile, managed to stand up well to the assaults of Odisha’s Basant Mohanty (29-9-81-4), http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mithun-Manhas-c76414 drove the innings with his unbeaten 161, and the other notable performance was from

Odisha were unable to gain much of a lead, or set up a challenging score for their opponents during their second innings. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780’s Suyal (29-5-93-5) and Narwal (16-5-41-3) remained the key bowlers in the attack, and the team succeeded in keeping Odisha down
to a manageable target.
Govind Podder (85), http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Halhadar-Das-c61303 (12), and Mangaraj (10) were the only
other batsmen who managed to reach double figures. The final day of play resulted in Odisha getting bowled for 269, setting Delhi an 82-run target to chase.
The chase posed no difficulties for Delhi, and skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/S-Dhawan-c2392 (55*) set up an unbeaten 82-run partnership with Unmukt Chand (23*), which got the team safely over the finish line within 15 overs, with 10 wickets still in hand.
