Delicate CHILD BEATING question?

Ok, so here's the thing:

What should a good caring mom do if someone is wrongfuly accusing her of beating her son???

I'm a mom, I love my 16 month old son with all my heart and would NEVER and have NEVER EVER laid a hand on him in any way. Yet, I have a maid and she's wrongfuly creating rumors that I beat my son. It all started one day when my son was running around and I told him to stop in a very firm voice (because he was barefoot and the floor was wet) And my son fell down and hit himself in the forehead with the edge of the door. Nothing serois happened it just turned red for a while and he continued to play as always. But when the maid saw her she was like "What happened? He looks like someone hit him" In a very sarcastic voice. The woman is just, ugh, making things up when there's nothingthere. And I find it sooo hurtful, it's the worst thing that anyone can accuse a loving mother of without it being true.

Then yesterday, my son got mosquito bites on his leg

  1. FIRED HER A$$ SHE SUPPOSE TO BE THE MAID NOT THE GOSSIP QUEEN!!!

  2. why would you keep employing her?

  3. Here's a question for you... Why is this maid still working for you?

  4. While I do agree with the majority of the people on this board that you should fire her - I also have to say that for your own sanity I think you should confront her on the issue.

I once overheard someone say to a group of people (about me and my son who were seating nearby) is she beating that baby or burping it?   To this day, I still get upset about it and am upset about not confronting her.

Anyways, just wanted to say that I feel for you and that nothing feels worse as a mother than to be accused of such a thing.   If these people really cared about the welfare of the children (instead of being gossip queens) I'm sure they could think of a lot better ways to bring the issues to light.

  5. Fire the maid.

  6. There is NO SUCH thing as "delicate" child beating. Beating is beating and it will escalate IF it's happening.

The accusations will worsen if you keep that employee. If they don't have anything to hold against you then there's no worry about terminating their employment.

Learn to clean up after yourself and your baby and you won't have to try to explain your way out of this.

Please realize that we're only hearing one side of the story. We don't know the basis for these allegations.

  7. Deny you ever hit him. Don't lie and said you hit him, just keep on denying that you hit him. You'll see justice one day!

  8. Your one and only solution, please read carefully:  FIRE THE MAID.

  9. fire her, why are u putting up with her lies, ur the one paying her. Let her go and find someone else to support her.

  10. get a new maid.

  11. You need to fire her

  12. FIRE HER!!  Why pay someone to come to your house and accuse you of doing such horrible things.

  13. Fire her for creating rumors that you beat your son.

  14. Well you should fire her and start looking for another candidate that's an experienced nanny as well as a housekeeper. She is there to do her job and needs to know that toddlers are very active and will suffer the occasional bump or bruise every now and then.

  15. FIRE HER before she gets you in a lot of trouble.

  16. you should have fired her as soon as she made the first comment!

  17. First off, sack the maid.

  18. get rid of her....I cant believe she has the nerve to even say things like that to you knowing you are her boss.

  19. Thats the problem with this world! Tell her to mind her own F****** business. I know thats harsh but you have a toddler. My son has bruises all over his shins and knees from falling down and stuff. It happens! Its normal. Confront her about it. Tell her until she knows what shes talking about keep her mouth shut. Its none of her business. I mean if there is excessive bruises than yeah I might worry too. Just tell her to BUTT OUT!

  20. Sack her? Its only your decision to keep a woman like this around.

  21. well, fire her of course.

  22. Without another moment, fire your maid.  Tell her in a firm voice (since I know you can!) that she is spreading rumors that you are hurting your son and that it is not true.  She'll likely deny it, but don't listen.  Tell her that you'll pay her what you owe her, but that she is not to ever come back to clean your house.  Secondly, relate the story to your family and friends.  That way, when other people talk to them about the rumors, they will know the facts and will be able to set the other people straight.  This is a horrible situation that you are in, and I really wish you the best of luck.  Hope this helps!

  23. Fire your maid and clean your own house. Problem solved.

  24. Fire the maid.  Really, get her out of your home...because her allegations are serious.  If she wants to call children's services on you, then, even though it's with mal-intent on her part, they will investigate you and interview both you and your child.  If it comes to that, a visit from children's services, then tell them the truth, and your case will be closed.  I've been investigated, also with mal-intent, and nothing serious happened other than I was annoyed because the intake worker that investigated me could have been out investigating an authentic case of child abuse, but instead their's an my time were being taken up with a false case.  Tell children's services that, and the fact that they won't find evidence of child abuse, will be enough for them to close your case.

  25. FIRE HER.

END OF STORY. SHE HAS NO RIGHT TO BE MAKING THINGS UP ABOUT YOU EXPECIALLY SOMETHING THIS SERIOUS THAT IF WAS TOLD TO THE WRONG PERSON COULD GET YOUR CHILD TAKEN AWAY.

    FIRE HER!!

  26. fire her and then report her to the agency she works for if possible.  do not offer good references.

  27. Get a new maid.

Or better yet, clean your own d**n house.

  28. Ummmm fire your maid, it doesn't take a rocket scientist.

  29. get rid of the maid and if Social Services does come the're going to investigate and find out what's going on. I don't think you should worry about anything.
