The former Viola boss apologises for attacking http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adem-Ljajic-c3612 and insists that the moralists cannot judge him without knowing what he went through.
Delio Rossi has finally come onboard to advocate his reason for physically assaulting a player of his team, and categorically dismissed the conclusions painted by the critics.
Rossi was sacked after the incident that saw the manager launch an attack on Adem Ljajic, after the player had a brief verbal exchange with the manager, following an early substitution.
The now former Fiorentina manager left the stadium quietly after the game against Novara, but has now voiced his stance to the media.
Rossi stated that it is a difficult moment for him to talk to people after the sad event, and insisted that he has come to bid farewell to the city of Florence, that he has come to adore.
The manager thanked the Della Valle family, and insisted that it is unfortunate that he has to leave in such circumstances. He insisted that the incident and the parting is a matter of overwhelming grief for him, and apologised
to the players, the fans and the club for his actions.
While talking to the club, a dismal former Viola chief said:
“It’s hard for me to be here as I’ve come to say goodbye to the city of Florence. Unfortunately my time here is over, it was an adventure that I still believe in and I thank the Della Valle family. I’m saddened about the incident
and I say sorry to the people of Florence, my players, the club and Ljajic.”
Delio Rossi refrained from going into specific details of the event, but suggested that comments about his family from the player had elicited the reaction.
The tactician stated that he wants to be respected by the club for his contribution, and insisted that he has never raised his hands on anyone before. He went on to state that there is a limit to everything, and he cannot pretend
to ignore disrespectful words about his family.
The manager admitted that his actions were disgraceful, but insisted that they were true to the human norms.
“I’ve never slapped anyone, but I demand respect for the club I train and my family. Certain lines should not be crossed. If someone touches my family, I can’t pretend that I didn’t hear it. I’ll rightly pay the price as my actions
were disgraceful, but they were humanly justifiable.”
The manager has been replaced by Vincenzo Guerini, for the last couple of games left in the season.
