Delio Rossi predicts Lazio to win Derby de Capitale and predicting a bright future for A.S Roma
Former Lazio manager, Delio Rossi, has tipped A.S Roma to overtake Lazio as the biggest club in Rome in the future.
The two Rome based teams will lock horns in one of the most awaited matches in the Serie A calendar on Sunday, October 16th, 2011. Derby de Capitale is always a high intensity game and Rossi is predicting a same type
of contest this time as well.
The former Palermo boss is predicting an open game and believes that both teams are equally matched to win it. The 51-year-old added that it will be more of a psychological game rather than a tactical encounter.
While talking to the reporters, Rossi said, “I don’t think that it will be a tactical game. I’m convinced that both sides will go out to try to win the game. We’re only at the beginning of the season and there is no real League
table pressure to contend with. I’m expecting an open game.”

However, the former Vis Pesaro midfielder insists that Luis Enrique’s side have a bright future and is extremely impressed with the club’s philosophy. He added that Roma will soon become a very big club and will rule Rome in the
future.

Both teams have had a similar start to the 2011/12 season and have picked up eight points each from five games played thus far. However, the Giallorossi are placed one spot ahead of their local rivals on goal difference.
Rossi managed Lazio from 2005-2009 and helped the club to win the Coppa Italia in 2008/09.
