My friend has just passed his driving test. He wants to try a job for supermarket delivery. Like Ocado, tesco, somerfield etc. Driving the small vans, not the long distance articulated hauls. But he wants to know are there any age restrictions?

  1. down to the firm them selfs,

some age 18 some age 21, it is the insurance company that they use the lower the age the higher the insurance so all he can do it apply and wish him luck.

    regards x kitti x

  2. Too young with just the licence in the pocket is not ver good... but too old with parkinson is not too good to...

  3. To be included on Company Motor Insurance you have to be 21.

An 18 year old works for the same company as my Dad - he has passed his driving test and has own (?) car insurance.  One of the conditions of the Vehicle Insurance is that under 21's do NOT drive the vehicles, even if it is just a couple of metres.

  4. Most places won't employ a new driver for a delivery job because the insurance is too high. They usually have an age limit of either 21 or 25 with a certain amount of years driving experience.

My son passed his test last October and has phoned up several delivery driver jobs, all of them have had an age restriction of a minimum of 21, he is 20.

  5. theres no age restriction just once you have a full licence. you might have to have the full licence for more than one year though but sure give it a shot =)

  6. 18

  7. I believe it's 21 mate. go to an agency for drop off job. But trust me, make it a short time thing as it's not a a nice carreer, it's lonely.

Mind you, you learn how to **** whilst driving, but don't crash.

You don't want your chicken drumstick in your hand whilst hitting a lampost.
