Delivery claim they delivered the package, but i don't have it.?

Question

lets say for example, ups or fedex was suppose to deliver the package at your house today, but you have an emergency and have to leave home for a couple of hours. Came back and see no package, but check their website, and it says that the package was left at the door.

What can i do if it was stolen? let's say the package is wroth 500$

Sounds like you'll have to file a claim.  Also, happened to me once, they delivered it alright, around the corner to another house.  Fortunately the person brought it around the next day.  Good Luck!
