  1. a couple hundred miles of city driving everyday will ruin any car

  2. Stop and go driving is considerably harder on a vehicle's mechanicals than highway driving.  You should follow the severe duty schedule for maintainance.

You'll also typically be in traffic more because of deliveries, which increases risk of an accident.  You should inform your insurance carrier of this, because if you don't and you get in an accident, they may refuse to pay for the damages.

I take it you're getting reimbursed for miles driven?  This is designed to offset the costs of operating a vehicle for business purposes.  If you're not getting reimbursement, keep records of your driving and you can claim it on your taxes next year.

  3. About the only thing worse you could do to your car would be to go off-roading with it.

Even if you carefully monitor and maintain the car, the abuse from the stop and go driving, rough roads in the city (i'm assuming), will bring your car to an extremely early demise.

For only 5 months, it will last as long as you're careful about maintenance and don't drive like an idiot. Still, this is an 8 year old car, and they don't last much beyond that anyways.

  4. The only thing I can think of would be the extra miles puts you at greater chance of being in an accident.  I can't see how it would ruin your car.
