Delivery time for royal mail standard parcels?

I know on the website it says between 3-5 days. I've been waitng 6 days for a large parcel to arrive in Northamptonshire from Wigan. Is this normal time or does it take longer?

my sons a royal mail parcel delivery driver,he says no longer than 5 working days,you should notifies the person who sent it as it might have got lost in transit,and will have to send another out to you. good luck and i hope this is any help to you . x

If the sender has a reciept for it he may have a delivery number on the reciept that you can trace on the Post Office or Royal Mail website.  Familiarise yourself with this service first on these websites so that you know what it is.  When you are familiar with it you can ask the sender for the track and trace number on the reciept which he should have. You can then look and see the results of it.
