Question:

Delivery too fast...UPS?

I sent a package out yesterday morning UPS, from Illinois to North Dakota, and they told me it would get there on Monday(Christmas Eve), which is what I wanted. Now, when I put in the tracking number on UPS.com, it says it will be delivered on this Friday. I actually do not want it to be delivered until Monday. Do you think they will "hold off" on delivering it until Monday, if I call?

  1. Certainly yes !! just call them to hold at North Dakota ups agent office & deliver it only on monday. 100% it will be done!!  Exceptions only if UPS bankrupts or so !!

  2. Probably not...i can't see them wanting to sort through thousands of letters and parcels just to find yours.

Is it a gift for someone?

If so,maybe you sould call them and let them know something is coming, but not to open it until Christmas day.

  3. No.  It will get there when it arrives at the UPS depot in N.D. and is sent out for delivery.  You COULD call UPS and inquire as to this "option", but I highly doubt you'll receive the answer you're looking for. Even if it could be done...do you really want to risk the package getting "forgotten about?"  If its pushed off to the side..it might get lost and never arrive..even by the 24th.  I'd just give the recipient(s) a call and say to them "Hey..I've mailed you guys a gift/package..and its due to arrive on Friday.  PLEASE, whatever you do..DO NOT open it until Christmas Eve, at the earliest.  I don't want to spoil the surprise!"
